About Four Corners Fiber Collective
Four Corners Fiber Collective is a 501c3 nonprofit organization based in Flagstaff, Arizona.
We are dedicated to sustaining the traditions and modern interpretations of fiber arts in our region. We accomplish our mission through our not-for-profit project, the Flag Wool and Fiber Festival. Flag Wool and Fiber is an annual celebration of all things fiber related in the southwest. We feature vendors, demonstrations, workshops, livestock displays, animal shearing, fiber arts competition, a keynote speaker, and more. Taking place each year on the weekend after Memorial Day (June 4-5, 2022), our festival is free to the public and provides hours of family-friendly fiber arts education and fun. For more information, visit the festival website here.
We also work on a mission-aligned social enterprise: Four Corners Yarns. Four Corners Yarns supports rural and Indigenous fiber producers and artists. We purchase raw fiber from the fiber producers at fair market prices and provide part time, flexible employment to a group of Navajo handspinners that are paid fair wages. For more information, visit the website here.
Additionally, we aim to foster community connections by promoting different creative opportunities for artists and fiber producers--both with our organization and outside of it. View a list of opportunities here.
